Learn more

The Hydro Majestic was envisioned by retail innovator Mark Foy as a hydropathic retreat high in the Blue Mountains. Built between 1901 and 1904, the hotel was remarkably advanced for its time, featuring its own power plant, water supply and pioneering engineering. Its domes, towers and Art Deco details have since become architectural icons of the region.

Over the years, the hotel has welcomed travellers and cultural figures, evolving through periods of change and restoration that have shaped its character today. Perched along the escarpment, the property offers sweeping valley views and ever-changing mountain light — a defining element of the Hydro Majestic experience.
